1. MSI Information
• Repackaged from DUSP media with Wise for Windows.
2. Configuration Issues
• You must use the following startup script in order for SPSS to start with the right license. After the MSI is installed via Group Policy you must reboot the computers to have the startup script run on the newly installed files.
• spss_update_license_v1 contains a command which sets a registry key to avoid the spsswin.tlb bug noted below. If you deployed before 07.31.03, please update your startup script to v1.
• \\win.mit.edu\dfs\MSI\ACST\scripts\spss_update_license\spss_update_license_v1.bat
3. Known Bugs
• "OLE Automation will not work...." - SPSS Bug http://www.spss.com/tech/answer/details.cfm?tech_tan_id=100011593. V1 of the startup script listed above sets the necessary registry permissions.
