ACMG CharterDRAFT

ACMG serves as an advisory group to individuals and groups responsible for the Academic Computing Practice, in particular the Director of Academic Computing, to ITLT, and to IS teams involved with Academic Computing at MIT. It is also a coordinating council for the Athena Computing Environment.
ACMG is chaired by the Director of Academic Computing. Its core membership consists of the team leaders who are involved with Academic Computing in general and with the Athena Computing Environment in particular, and its agenda is set by the Director from items submitted by that group. Other attendees are welcome when topics on the agenda are discussed that involve their interest and/or expertise.
ACMG is intended to:
Decisions of ACMG should be seen as strong recommendations for ITLT and for IS.
ACMG meets twice monthly. Minutes of meetings are distributed to the 'acteams' mailing list, consisting of team members and other staff members within IS who are involved with Athena and Academic Computing.
