Academic Computing Practice

The IS Academic Computing Practice promotes and enables technology-based education at MIT. It encourages and helps faculty to use technology in teaching, and acts as an advocate for funding and support of educational technology throughout MIT.

The Practice, in conjunction with IS Process teams and academic departments, provides widely distributed, client-server computing to the MIT community, primarily through the href="http://web.mit.edu/olh/Welcome/">Athena Computing environment, complemented by MITnet and related network services.
The Academic Computing Practice also offers training, documentation and consulting services in support of academic work.
