Additional Communications Connectivity

While all permanently installed Visitors Center machines are connected to the MITnet, we realize that there are times when you may want to bring in an additional machine and connect to the MITnet. We have a public network jack, with the following specific attributes:

Connection type: AUI
Drop #:
IP address
Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0
Gateway: 18.177.0.1

Phone Service The Visitors Center has both an analog and digital phone, for outside demo purposes.

Video and Audio Projection

We have installed an NEC projection system which allows all permanent devices in the Visitors Center to be displayed on the large screen, as well as to broadcast any audio enhancements to applications. Additionally, there is a full audio mixer which allows the user to control the sound levels from the applications or, if necessary, for the wireless microphone.
