Statement of Purpose

To improve the delivery of information to students and advisors so that

1. Timely, accurate, and consistent information about programs, opportunities, policies, and procedures is available, and

2. Content is organized according to audience needs.

Statement of Objectives

To determine what information should be available to students and advisors, and to plan the structure, format, organization, and schedule of its delivery.

Approach to Work

1. Assess needs of students and advisors through review of earlier findings and through meetings, surveys, focus groups with students, advisors, and content experts.

2. Review current on-line and printed materials for content, ownership, staffing, and production schedules, and identify what additional information needs to be developed.

3. Investigate best practices.

4. Determine target users and improved content for each audience.

5. Create organization and architecture of information.

6. Establish ownership, responsibility, and protocols for maintaining information.

7. Plan roll-out schedule for improved information, as well as optimum annual production and maintenance schedule ensuring timely and updated information.
