Jamie Spangler is a fifth-year graduate student at MIT studying Biological Engineering. She went to Johns Hopkins as an undergraduate, where she studied Biomedical Engineering. Yes, there IS a difference! She grew up in a suburb of Chicago, but has apparently lost any trace of a Midwestern accent and can now pass for an East Coast snob. When she is not singing or studying, Jamie enjoys playing tennis and softball, as well as reading cnn.com. She is excited to be singing with Techiya, even though it will reduce the amount of time she will be able to spend reading cnn.com.
