Welcome to the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) English Professional Day!

Monday, December 12, 2011 [Hosted by Margaret Ramsey]

Led by Professor Alex Huang, this workshop on digital pedagogy uses Shakespeare performed world-wide as a case study to explore how to use current digital resources, especially digital video study tools, to teach (1) Shakespearean drama; (2) world cultures and languages; (3) performance and film studies.

These digital tools can be used to achieve three goals in the classroom: (1) promote active learning through video curation and critique; (2) enhance critical thinking and writing skills through close reading and comparative analysis of performance vidoes; (3) understand important aspects of world cultures and globalization.

To go green and to take full advantage of some of the best digital tools, Prof. Huang has put everything you need for the workshop right here. No more unwieldy handouts!
