Restaurants

There are dining options in the Boston-Cambridge area to suit every taste and budget. We suggest you take a look at online restaurant guides, like boston.com dining section or The Boston Phoenix Restaurant Guide. Search by neighborhood – Central Square and Kendall Square in Cambridge, or Back Bay in Boston – to find restaurants closest to campus. We've listed some local favorites below.

We do encourage you to explore beyond the immediate MIT area. Try Boston's Italian neighborhood, the North End, where you'll find restaurants, from the elegant to the rustic, as well as irresistible bakeries and old-world style cafes. Boston's South End and Theater district are famous for their elegant bistros featuring eclectic, highly creative, cuisine. Savor the tastes of Asia, including great Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian, and Vietnamese food, in Boston's Chinatown district. Dining options are plentiful and varied too in Harvard Square and Inman Square, and other Cambridge neighborhoods.
