The Above and Beyond Award
The Above and Beyond Award is an award for substantive achievement, to be given throughout the year, to a staff individual(s) or teams who have performed tasks or services in an exemplary manner, or have improved the quality of life in the department. Nominations for this award might be made for individuals or groups who have:
- performed a task more effectively, of high quality, in a tight deadline
- improved the quality of life in the department
- effectively coached or mentored others in the department
- exhibited creativity in accomplishing tasks
- exhibited "grace under pressure"
- assumed new responsibilities in a highly effective manner
- helped others in a particularly kind and understanding manner
- improved the morale of co-workers
To nominate someone for this award, please submit the form below. Nomination requires a substantive narrative of the reason for nomination. Nominations will be voted on by the entire committee within five working days of receipt of the nomination, and a majority vote will determine if the nomination is approved. Award is a $100 (non-cash) gift certificate, an Aero-Astro Above and Beyond folio, and a framed certificate. Team members will each receive a $100 gift certificate, up to a maximum of $500 for the team. If a team has more than five members, team members will divide the maximum award equally.
