Subject Evaluation Results

MIT Aero-Astro places a high value on students' assessments of our subjects and faculty. The responses to our surveys help us improve teaching and learning. It helps faculty identify their strengths and to understand ways to improve. And, it's important for our students to access the responses of their peers as they determine their course paths. Since 1996, one of the most valuable means of feedback has been subject evaluation.

From 1996 to 2001, subject evaluations were coordinated by Sigma Gamma Tau, the National Aerospace Engineering Honor Society. In 2001, the evaluation process was revised to maximize feedback. Simultaneously, the evaluation coordination was transferred to Aero-Astro Student Services. Subject evaluations are done at the end of each semester at which time students are emailed instructions about participating.
