The Collision and Obstacle Detection and Alerting (CODA) display aims to help MAV operators navigate more effectively by displaying an intuitive visualization of potential obstacles in the environment. The Collision and Obstacle Detection and Alerting (CODA) display aims to help MAV operators navigate more effectively by displaying an intuitive visualization of potential obstacles in the environment. This video shows a demonstration of an operator using the CODA display integrated with the MAV-VUE interface to control a MAV in an outdoor field environment with obstacles.

This demonstration of the Deck operation Course of Action Planner (DCAP) links the simulated aircraft carrier deck envionment to a set of small ground vehicles. These vehicles are monitored by a Vicon™ motion capture system, which sends real-time position updates to the simulation enviornment for display.


MAV-VUE is a platform that allows a minimally trained operator to control a small UAV through an iPhone interface. This video describes the results of an outdoor usability study conducted in January 2011.
