Welcome to the EDLS and MICR0-G Web Site

The purpose of the EDLS spaceflight experiment is to assess forces and torques imparted by crew members onto the space station Mir. EDLS is the successor experiment to the DLS experiment conducted on Shuttle mission STS-62. One of the key missions of the International Space Station (ISS) is to perform microgravity science experiments that require a quiescent environment (~10-4 to 10-7 g's). For this reason we are conducting space flight experiments for the ISS Program that investigate how astronauts disturb the spacecraft microgravity environment.
