Massachusetts sex offender registry
Be advised that G.L. Chapter 6 Section 178N (misuse of information penalties) provides that information contained in the Sex Offender Registry shall not be used to commit a crime against an offender or engage in illegal discrimination or harassment of the offender and that any person who improperly uses the Sex Offender Registry Information shall be punished by not more than two and a half years in the House of Correction or a fine of not more than $1,000 or by both such fine and imprisonment.
