Professor Bennis is co-author with Robert J. Thomas of "Geeks & Geezers: How Era, Values, and Defining Moments Shape Leaders" (Harvard Business School Press, 2002).

He is University Professor and Distinguished Professor of Business Administration and Founding Chairman of The Leadership Institute at the University of Southern California. Dr. Bennis also serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University's Kennedy School and is the Thomas S. Murphy Distinguished Research Fellow at the Harvard Business School. Dr. Bennis has written or edited 26 books, one of which - "An Invented Life: Reflections on Leadership and Change" - was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. He has served on four U.S. Presidential Advisory Boards and has consulted for many Fortune 500 companies, including General Electric, Ford, and Starbucks. In 1993, the Wall Street Journal named him as one of the top ten speakers on management, and Forbes Magazine has called him the "Dean of Leadership Gurus." The Financial Times recently credited Bennis as the person who established leadership as an academic discipline.
