Research Interests

Dr. Kafrissen is Chief Scientific Officer and company head of Ortho-McNeil Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC, A Johnson & Johnson Company. His current academic appointments include Adjunct Professorships at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Public Health, School of Pharmacy of Rutgers University, and University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Development group, Dr. Kafrissen was a Medical Epidemiologist in the Centers for Disease Control’s Chronic Disease Division in Atlanta, GA.

His research interests include clinical trial design, clinical project planning and execution, and management of technical professionals.
