About Us

AISES is dedicated towards the advancement and representation of the native student body at MIT. We are a source of Indigenous culture, an advocate for native rights and causes, and a support network for our students and allies.

Our members include undergraduates, graduate students, staff, and faculty of various tribal affiliations. Membership in AISES is open to any MIT-affiliate, while many of our events are open to the public. AISES enjoys close ties to the OME, and we serve as allies to many underrepresented communities within MIT.

Throughout the year we host frequent informal lounge hours, often catered with snacks. We host and partner with many film showings that discuss native issues or those of our allies. Each year our organization travels to the AISES National Conference to represent MIT and exchange valuable native cultural knowledge and traditions.
