is currently CEO of Mubadiroon, a hybrid venture capital fund and incubator for tech startups, Managing Director of aitech, a technology development and consulting firm focused on knowledge management systems, enterprise social networking solutions and consumer web applications and co-founder of a stealth-mode MIT-based startup.
Abdulrahman's prior work experience spanned both startups and corporations in the fields of information technology, financial trading, product design and strategy consulting. Abdulrahman held different leading positions within Blueprint, Microsoft, Oracle, Morgan Stanley, Atos Origin, and Saudi Aramco. In his most recent role as a strategy consultant for Oracle Corporation, Abdulrahman developed an overall business strategy for Oracle to win-over the largest share of a vital market valued at $39 billion USD. The strategy was approved and adopted by Oracle's senior leadership.
Abdulrahman founded SETLA (Saudi Entrepreneurs and Technology Leaders Association) in which he co-organized the first MIT Global Startup Workshop (GSW) in the Middle East, held in Abu Dhabi in 2005. He holds a seat on Microsoft's Board of the Future where he consults to Microsoft on future market trends and knowledge-based industries, and is a member of the Saudi Aramco's Innovation Leadership Advisory Board. Abdulrahman is a also a member of the advisory boards of multiple non-profit organizations including Meedan and the US Academy of Applied Sciences.
Abdulrahman was drafted as the youngest fellow of the Young Arab Leaders, an organization founded in World Economic Forum in 2004. Moreover, Abdulrahman was appointed the Gulf Ambassador to the "Innovation for Peace" program sponsored by the United Nations and the World Summit for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Abdulrahman is a founding mentor of the Mohammed bin Rashed Foundation's Sawaed ICT initiative. At Saudi Aramco's historical 75th Anniversary, Abdulrahman had the honor of being Master of Ceremonies and delivering the opening speech in-front of His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and leaders of the GCC. Speaking in-front of 70 world leaders and heads of nations Abdulrahman was tasked with initiating and facilitating the ministerial and corporate sessions at the Jeddah Energy Meeting.
Abdulrahman’s work has been honored by leaders of industry and featured in international media and publications. Abdulrahman was unanimously chosen to be the first recipient of the MIT ASO Science and Technology Achievement award.
