Strategy Consultant, Oracle Corporation San Francisco, CA — May ’07 - Aug ‘07

Developed an overall business strategy for Oracle’s entry into a $39 billion market: Conducted thorough market research, competitive and SWOT analysis and developed branding, packaging and online presentation for the new offerings. Compiled objectives and FY ’08 plans for Sales, Marketing, Development and Analyst Relations to maximize revenue potential. Reported directly to the VP of Strategy. Delivered a presentation of the strategy to the Senior VP of Development. The strategy was fully adopted by senior management.

Financial Trading IT Analyst, Morgan Stanley New York, NY — May ’06 - Aug ‘06

Designed and implemented software to streamline transaction workflow for securities trading at Morgan Stanley. The solution consolidated both legacy and new raw data-records of financial transactions into one unified and structured XML financial master model. This backbone solution resulted in considerable gains in speed and efficiency for trading applications and allowed for more real-time rich data to be available to Morgan Stanley traders for better decision-making. Delivering the first project in record time, completed the development of a parallel-processing search engine with a Web 2.0 interface for searching transactional ‘FIX’ tags within distributed servers and data-warehouses.

Software Architect, BluePrint New York, NY — May ’05 - Aug ‘05

Working directly with the Chief Operating Officer, translated Blueprint’s business workflow, including project management, development cycles, and creative processes, into a digital model that was integrated in a portal used by all employees of the company. Using .Net technologies, the portal was designed and implemented to monitor and manage projects at all life-cycles. The portal enabled executives to have a dashboard view on different financial and managerial metrics, project managers to monitor bottlenecks or pending actions for different projects. The portal allowed creatives and developers to collaborate on different documents and designs in real-time.

SETLA (Saudi Entrepreneurs and Technology Leaders Association) was founded to be a catalyst for growth to Saudi Arabia by nurturing an environment that fosters technological, scientific and entrepreneurial pursuits and creating opportunities that will help develop the Kingdom into a knowledge-based economy.


Co-Founder and VP of R&D, MySecretary Boston, MA — Aug ‘04-Sep ‘06

MySecretary was a next-generation web application that provided a rich and highly functional online experience to automate different internet tasks like news aggregation, checking changes on websites preset by the user (such as price changes, new events etc.), and any type of online task that can be drawn in a flowchart diagram. This functionality was provided in a highly-contextualized user interface that morphed itself based on different user inputs.

Innovation Leadership Think Tank, Saudi Aramco Dhahran, Saudi Arabia — Jun ‘02-Aug ‘02

Youngest member of the think tank that included senior executives and reported to the CEO of Saudi Aramco. Formulated plan to increase number of patent applications by the company. Led the out-of-company efforts in targeting and recruiting gifted students. As a result, year 2002 was named Innovation Year at Aramco with tens of patents pending for rights. Presented a talk titled “Innovation and Opportunities” addressed to Saudi Aramco’s President & CEO, and Board of Directors.
