Using theoretical and
computational frameworks that are rooted in statistical physics, I study
models that probe the mechanisms underlying complex dynamical behavior that
emerges in the course of signal transduction with particular attention to
T cells. Current and past projects involve: 1.) the role of scaffold proteins
in MAPK signaling with particular attention to the KSR system in mammalian
cells 2.) signaling dynamics in the immunological synapse 3.) investigations
into the nature of memory effects in T cell activation.
