6 Sep 2012: PS 9 will be due Nov 16 because of Veteran's Day, however, PS 10 will be posted the 12th, and due the 19th, to keep on schedule.

10 Sep 2012: The midterm will be Oct 5th. You will be allowed to stay up to 30 minutes past the end of class, should you need the extra time, although I will design the test fit the normal class period. There will be one page of notes (front and back), no calculators, cell phones, books, or computers. Because of my car troubles, I was late posting Problem Set 5. Since this is a longish (but easy) problem set, I've decided to extend the due date to 28 Sept. However, Problem Set 6 will be posted by Monday 24th, and will be due Oct 1st, so we can stay on schedule. Apologies again for the tardy problem set.

28 Aug 2012: I consider the problem session required for the course, but I will be lenient in terms of official registration. I will expect you to attend class however. I ask that you register if it is at all possible. If you choose not to register, I need an email from you explaining your choice.
