Events for 2008
We are very excited about all our events this year. Although the semester is winding down, we are still looking forward to Bordeaux, our spring formal. We will be saying good bye to the seniors and wishing them the best as they go on to become Alumnae. It should be a great night.
PAST EVENTS
Alumnae Reunion Weekend
May 2-4, 2008
Everyone had a great time over the alumnae weekend. We had a BBQ at our home, and we went out for a nice dinner at Stephanie's. It was great reconnecting with everyone from past classes and hearing the stories from their days at MIT. We are looking forward to seeing them again next year at our 25th Anniversary Reunion.
King of Hearts
April 18, 2008
King of Hearts took place in Walker Memorial. We had a great turn out, which meant we were able to raise a lot of money for Cardiac Care. It was also very entertaining, and we got to watch all the contestants model their evening wear, sport their swim wear, showcase their talents, and express their thoughts in the interview section. The best part, though, was seeing them perform a choreography to "4 minutes to save the world!"
Mister for your Sister
March 8, 2008
Mister for your Sister was a great success this year. We started preparing a couple of weeks beforehand, setting our sisters up on blind dates. Then, for the event, each class went out to dinner at various restaurants around Boston. The seniors had lots of fun at Boston Beerworks, the juniors went to Fajitas and Ritas, the sophomores to Island Hopper, and the freshmen to Bertucci's. It was a great night out on the town.
CandyGram Sales
February 2008
We started the semester right away by selling candygrams the second week of February. We delivered them on Valentine's Day to dorms, fraternities and sororities and we were able to raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation. Sisters had lots of fun while making the candygrams. Thanks to everyone who bought one!
