I am a research scientist in the Man-Vehicle Laboratory which is part of the Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I am currently working on research projects investigating (1) the role of spatial ability in teleoperation and training, (2) human engineering issues for various Mars and Lunar Exploration architectures, (3) the visual perception of orientation in microgravity, and (4) spatial memory and navigation in microgravity environments. My research interests include human spatial orientation and navigation, eye movements, human-machine interaction, and human modeling as they relate to real, microgravity, and virtual environments.
