We spent a lovely August weekend with Tom, Leslie, Sam, and Teagan Driscoll around their digs in Connecticut. We took a day to cross the border into Rhode Island and sample its nice beaches.

We also enjoyed some of the wonderful summer toys that Sam and Teagan have - Erik seemed especially taken with the Slippy-Slide.

Did you know that Erik can dunk a basketball already?
Tom and Leslie's house is near some conservation land where people have hidden little logbooks and stamps so one can try letterboxing. There are clues to find each box and after finding it, you an add your own stamp to the log book and collect the stamps that were hidden. We made it to the first one before Kira and Sam revolted!.
We checked out a nice little playground near the bridge in Mystic, CT (Home of Mystic Pizza). It was a lot of fun for the kids and we had to resort to drastic measures to finally leave...
