I am a research scientist in the Man-Vehicle Laboratory which is part of both the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I am currently working on research projects investigating (1) the role of spatial ability in teleoperation and training, (2) sensorimotor interaction and human-machine interaction for lunar landing, and (3) the issue of fatigue in locomotive engineers and the design of alerting systems. My research interests include human spatial orientation and navigation, telerobotics, eye movements, human-machine interaction, and human modeling.
