System Design & Management
The
System Design and Management Program is a graduate-level program that is jointly sponsored
by MIT’s Sloan School of Management and the School of Engineering with 20 Industry
Partners. The goal is to educate future leaders in architecting, engineering, and designing
complex products and systems and to prepare them for careers as technically grounded
senior managers. AMPS supports the program by connecting MIT students to multiple industry
leaders in order to enhance their learning experience.
Singapore – MIT Alliance
The
Singapore-MIT alliance (SMA) was founded in November 1998 to promote global engineering
education and research. SMA brings together the resources of three academic institutions
and provides students with unlimited access to exceptional faculty expertise and superior
research facilities. AMPS supports this mission with its team of video technicians,
digital media specialists, web developers, and support staff. During the 2003-04 academic
year, AMPS led the production of 1,325 hours of live beaming sessions between MIT and
Singapore and 940 hours of streaming media. AMPS also operated and maintained seven
interactive distance education facilities, managed a collaborative web publishing platform,
and supported the course administration of over 50 courses.
