Accomplished Friday: - A little bit of grinding - Dealt with neighborhood issues - Doors transported to Cruftlabs - Business meeting Quick recap: We had planned to tack in the pontoon runners tonight. Unfortunately, just a few minutes into today's grinding, a woman representing the tenants of an adjoining building asked us to stop making noise. We had planned to stop at 7:30 anyway, so we abandoned the idea of getting the job done tonight. The circumstances are likely to require major changes to the schedule, which we are still working out. While we examine our options (Saturday) we will refrain from making noise on site in Brookline. For this reason Saturday's work has been moved indoors to Cruftlabs. Tasks assigned: - Scott: call people regarding possible alternate worksites for this week: elevator/parking garage plan (favored), Shaughnessy plan, Magliozzi plan. Check on viability of Kaufman plan and call if appropriate. - Steve: call recarding alternate worksite: 32 loading dock plan. - Mar: consult with legal team about regulations governing noise and outdoor boat-building. Exploit legal loopholes if necessary. - Amrys: acquire bumper stickers. Saturday projects: - Work the phones (Scott, Steve) - Door prep (cut, grind, drill) - Weld prep on inside of pontoon runner angle iron - Cut hole patches from sheet steel and prep - Rudder work (design, fab parts including steering box) - De-funk the seats (could be done chemically at Brookline site) SATURDAY - 1 PM - CRUFTLABS Drop by whenever. Attention lurkers: this message does not adequately explain the situation in Brookline. That is because I don't feel like typing it all up.
