Bone Marrow Typing Drive

Thursday, 4/1/06
Bush Room (10-105)

Thursday, April 6, is MIT AMSA's fourth Annual Bone Marrow Typing Drive. As one of the largest drives in the Boston area, we run the drive in conjunction with the National Marrow Donor Program. It only takes 10 minutes of your time, but you could potentially save a leukemia patient's life! You do not have to be a blood donor to qualify.

Please come to the Bush Room between 10am - 4pm this Thursday!

Lunch with Dr. Byrne

Friday, 12/9/05

Dr. Thomas Byrne, who some of you may know through BioMatrix as a Professor in HST, BCS, and HMS, recently began a series of informal lunchtime premed brainstorming sessions. An upcoming session will be held on Friday, December 9 for one hour at noon. This lunch session will be a question-and-answer format as a chance for you to surface premed concerns and questions that you would like to have addressed either at this meeting or at future lunch meetings. Hopefully the progress of the meeting will lead to ideas for future topics.

If you are interested, the session is open to the first 25 students who RSVP to Amy Magiera (amagiera@mit.edu) by Wednesday, November 16. Pizza is provided and you will receive the room location with your RSVP.
