Anime Essentials 2008

Come join the anime club on the evening of Wednesday, January 30th for a showing highlighting some of the best that Japanese animation has to offer. If you're curious about what anime is, or if you've watched a few shows but want to know more about the variety that's available, this showing is for you. We'll alternate single episodes of some the best shows from a broad variety of genres with short explanations of famous artists, genres, and terminology, so you can understand what anime fans are talking about and see what all the fuss is about.

The showing will start at 7:30pm in room 35-225 on the MIT campus, and finish between 11:30 and midnight. Feel free to drop by for any subset. We'll have some Japanese snacks to sample during the intermission, but won't be supplying dinner. Showings will be in Japanese with English subtitles.
