The MIT Anime Club has a sporadically-published newsletter, miteiru!, to serve as a medium for the expression of club members' talents as writers, artists, and scholars.
The term miteiru! is the Japanese subjective verb form for "looking" in the sense of a directed and concentrated gaze. It is through this gaze that we make sense of the world around us, and by gazing at anime in particular, we improve our understanding of the animated form.
Articles and artwork are always welcome.
We do distribute a hard-copy newsletter, and use a monochrome printing process. Images that are black and white work best (shading and colors don't reproduce well with our printing process). Original art only, please, we don't want to publish scans of art-books or screen-captures of commercial animation.
Articles should probably be no longer than 500-600 words without prior arrangement with the editorial staff.
