I use another window manager, and now I have a huge 'Desktop' window

Users who use Window Managers other than Sawfish (ie: vtwm, mwm, fvwm,
etc) may notice that a large window titled "Desktop" appears when the
log in, possibly obscuring other windows. This is the Nautilus File
Manager desktop window. When used with Sawfish, or other
GNOME-compliant window managers, it appears as a background window,
however other window managers treat it as a regular window. If you
wish, you may disable the Natuilus Desktop by adding "set
skip_nautilus" to your .environment file. Or, you may configure your
Window Manager to treat the Desktop window differently. Consult your
Window Manager documentation for instructions on how to do that.
