Can I dialup to Athena with a Modem It is no longer possible to connect directly to the Athena dialup servers via modem. Users are encouraged to transition to a residential high-speed internet connection, such as a cable modem, DSL, Verizon FiOS, or WiFi. Modem users still wishing to access Athena may use Tether, MIT's PPP dialup service. For information on Tether, please see http://web.mit.edu/ist/topics/network/tether.html Once you have configured your computer for Tether, you can then access Athena via SSH.
