Why are there EXTRA FILES for my Frame Document

In general, you should name your frame documents with a .doc
extension. This will enable consultants to more readily determine
your document may have been created in Frame, and is what Frame
considers to be the norm.

If you list a directory in which you were working on a Frame document
you may see several other extensions to your filename. These are:

o .backup -- this is the equivalent of a ~ file that emacs or
ez create. It is the last version of the file
you were working on, but not the most current.

o .recover -- if Frame should die unexpectedly it will save
the document it has loaded up and append this
extension. When you next open this document
it will tell you that it found a .recover file
and ask if that should be used instead.

o .lck	-- once a user opens a document, a .lck file is
created to prevent another user from opening
and changing the file at the same time.

For more information on these files see the information on Frame and
how it can affect your quota.
