Turning off hyphenation

You can turn off hyphenation by choosing "Paragraph->Designer" from the
Format menu. This will bring up a Paragraph Designer popup window. In
the window, you should click on "Properties" and change it from "Basic"
to "Advanced".

There will be a check box in the middle of the window for "Hyphenate".
Uncheck it (click on it *twice*), and then go to the bottom left of
the Paragraph Designer window to the Commands and choose "Global
Update Options" from it. This will bring up yet another popup window,
on which you can check off "All Paragraphs and Catalog Entries" and
then click on Update. Then click on "Yes" in the Alert window which
appears.
