How to use the THESIS TEMPLATE

In order to use the Frame thesis template you first need to copy some
of the files into your account:

        athena% cd
        athena% mkdir thesis
        athena% attach thesis
        athena% cp /mit/thesis/frame/Frame5/*.* ~/thesis/

Then start up FrameMaker. Select "New" from the main frame window.
In the dialog box, double click on "Contributed", then double click
on "Thesis". You will then want to choose "cover.doc".

When the template appears make sure to use "Save As" to save the
document in your own directory. You will need to repeat this for
"abstract.doc" and "chapter.doc".

NOTE: You may want to do "chapter.doc" first, as this includes the
instructions for using the template. Again, the instructions are not
fully complete (especially in terms of creating the bibliography), but
you should be able to write the thesis with what is there.
