How to SEND mail

To send mail to another user, use the 'comp' command ('comp' is an
abbreviation for "compose"). Just type this command:

	comp

This will cause the Emacs text editor to start. Position the Emacs window on
the screen with the mouse. In the window, you will see the "header" for the
mail message:

	To:
	Cc:
	Subject:
	--------

To fill in this section move the emacs cursor beyond each colon with the mouse
or the cursor keys. Fill in the "To:" field with the address of the
recipient. You can also put recipients in the "Cc:" ("Carbon copy") field.
Put a brief summary of your message in the "Subject:" field. Then move the
emacs cursor below the "--------" and type the body of your message.

When the message is complete, type Ctrl-x Ctrl-s. This will save the text in
the window. Then type Ctrl-x Ctrl-c. The Emacs window will disappear, and
your original window will ask you 'What now?' Type 'send' and press the
Return key... your mail has been sent. If you do not wish to send at this
point but want to add something else to your message, type 'edit' and the
emacs window will reappear.

You can find more information on sending and receiving mail in On-Line Help.
To get to it, type the following at the athena% prompt:
