Is there a print quota or charge for printing?

There is no charge or page quota when printing to the Athena printers
located in the public clusters around campus. A list of these
clusters and the printers located in them can be found at:

	http://web.mit.edu/olh/Clusters/

or by typing "xcluster" at the athena% prompt.

The print servers do keep logs of printer usage, and users may be
contacted by IS&T if they appear to be abusing the printers.

There may be other printers which have Athena print queues, but are
privately owned, such as dorm printers or departmental printers. Some
of these printers do implement a quota or billing system. Check with
your dorm government or departmental administrative officer before
printing to these printers.

MIT supports and encourages recycling - please use the paper recycling
bins located in the clusters to dispose of any printouts you do not
need. Please do NOT throw trash into the recycling bins.

Whenever possible, please conserve paper by printing double-sided, or
by sharing a single copy of course notes with other people in your
class.
