Printing your Thesis

Printing your Thesis on Athena

The MIT Libraries has a set of guidelines surrounding your thesis,
available at this URL:

http://libraries.mit.edu/archives/thesis-specs/

Please check those guidelines before printing your final copy to avoid
wasting paper. Additionally, please check with your department and
your thesis advisor for any additional guidelines regarding submission
and printing of your thesis.

PRINTING

The first copy of your thesis must be printed on watermarked
acid-neutral or acid-free "archival bond" paper. There are two
printers on campus stocked with such paper:

-thesis: located in Building 11 Copytech
	-w20thesis: located in W20 Copytech

Please only print the final copy of your thesis to these printers - do
not use them for draft copies. You are permitted to print two (2)
copies of your thesis on archival bond paper. (Some departments
require a 3rd copy, please check with your department as to whether
such a copy must also be on archival bond paper.)

If you require additional copies of your thesis on archival bond
paper, contact the Copytech staff. They can assist you with making
photocopies onto archival bond paper or they can sell you a ream of
such paper to use in your own printer.

When printing additional non-archival copies of your thesis (for your
own reference, for family members, etc), please be considerate of
other users, particularly during the busy time at the end of term.
Please make use of the Copytech facilities to make copies of your
thesis for your reference, rather than printing multiple copies of
very large documents.
