Where to find more information on XESS
For more information on Xess try the following:
o Choosing "About" from the "Help" menu, and then selecting the
appropriate topic from the dialogue box.
o Picking up a copy of "Xess on Athena" at CopyTech in the
basement of building 11 for a small fee. (This document may also
be read in the On-Line Help browser by typing "help" at the
athena% prompt, and selecting the "Numerical and Math Software"
menu.)
o "Getting Started with Xess" and the "Xess User's Guide" are
available in N42 (1st floor), but must be read there as only
one copy of each manual exists.
o HTML version of the help documentation is available by doing
athena% attach xess_v4.0
athena% netscape /mit/xess_4.0/www/xess4-help.html
For version 4.1, use xess_4.1 instead of xess_4.0
