the apache-ssl locker (rev8)

The apache-ssl locker contains software recommended by MIT Information Systems for providing secure web servers. This software is intended for use by experienced systems administrators at MIT. MIT's apache-ssl software is based on the Apache webserver, and we have included support for ssl. The current release also contains support for Java servlet development (on the Sun platform only, due to the lack of the JSDK for any other platform). Beginning with the current (rev8) distribution of apache-ssl, we offer two options for adding Java Servlet functionality to the basic apache-ssl webserver. Unless you specifically need to use Tomcat, we recommend you take the first option.
Obsolete versions:
All previous versions of apache-ssl are obsolete. Some remain available for reference purposes.
