I'm Apostolos Papadopoulos. (1)
I spent the summer of 2015 as a research assistant (2) in Manolis Kellis' Computational Biology group (3) in CSAIL, where I continued working until February 2016 with Wouter Meuleman on epilogos as part of my BSc thesis.
I enjoy programming, policy, finance, jazz, burgers, and the Green Bay Packers.
Current location: back in Vienna, Austria.
Previously, I've worked at the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., VisualDNA in London, UK, and Daily Secret in New York, NY. Before that, most other things.
- I mostly go by apas.
- My primary research interest is computational biology, with a focus in epigenomics.
- Our group aims to further understand the human genome and its evolutionary mechanisms by computational integration of large-scale functional and genomic datasets through comparative genomics, combinations of epigenetic modifications, and linking cell-regulatory regions to their target genes.
