In theory AXAA publishes a monthly newsletter known as A-P-O-. Filling in the dashes is one of the few privileges in the life of the editor. Unfortunately, the more observant of you out there will have noticed that for some time now (approximately a year?) no A-P-O- has arrived in your mailbox to cheer you up before you open all the bills. We hope to remedy this problem as soon as possible. And don't worry, all subscriptions have been extended, so we won't be bugging you for more money until we actually produce the goods. But if you've never subscribed, then send me mail and I'll explain how. (It involves sending the current treasurer 16 dollars.)
The new temporary acting newsletter editor (who this week is doubling as webmaster) is raring to go, and has already succoured two articles out of unsuspecting brothers with promises of three more. As soon as someone provides the electronic wizardry required to put them in the correct format and a mailing list ..... well, soonish anyway, the A-P-O- will live again. Send me articles - cartoons, jokes, bio updates, gossip, poetry, anything goes.
If anyone out there knows what country they are going to be living in next month and has convenient access to a U.S. post office (I fulfill niether of these conditions) and would like to help resussitate the newsletter, please, please, please, send me mail. Hey, you can send me flames about these web pages at the same time :)
I am thinking of publishing the newsletter here, as well as on paper. What do you think? Why should we bother pubslishing a newsletter at all?
