Perkins School

f you're interested in volunteering at Perkins School for the Blind this coming Saturday, be sure to fill out the chmrr so we know to expect you! The chmrr can be found here: https://apo.chmrr.net/pc/122?J:RETURN=S3187110415_272176 If your name is on the list, we'll try to wait for you to show up before we head over. We'll be heading out from the office (W20-415) at 8:10am and taking the 70A bus most of the way there. Once we're there, we'll head to the library where we'll be directed to more specific things. It looks like this year we'll be processing talking books to be sent out to the blind community throughout New England, so it'll be a great opportunity to check out a project that will impact a large number of people! We'll be working from 9am to noon, and if this is anything like it was last time I went, lunch will be provided (I also seem to recall them having danishes for breakfast, although they might be on shorter supply, so if you want to be super sure you have something to eat in the morning, it might be useful to pack a granola bar or something just in case). After that we'll head back; you can probably expect to be home by 1pm the latest, unless we decide to go hang out somewhere afterwards. It would also be useful for you to email me your phone number some time before the project, so we can keep in touch on the day of the project. Also let me know if you want a wakeup call, since we'll be having to get up pretty early for this.
