The Harold and Arlene Schnitzer Prize in the Visual Arts
A cash prize inaugurated in 1996 for a body of work by a current MIT undergraduate or graduate student.
The 2008 submission deadline is Monday, April 14, between 12-5pm
at Student Art Association office (W20-429). (Application
form)
Prizes are awarded to registered MIT students, based on a
body of work.
In 2008, first prize is increased to $5,000; second prize
to $2,500; third prize to $2,000; A special "non artist" prize
of $1,500 will also be awarded when applicable.
The artist must submit up to 3 works in 2-D or 3-D visual art, and video, a cover sheet describing the medium and dimensions of the work, and an artists' statement to the Student Art Association W20-429 during specific office hours.
