Winning Students Exhibit Work

"Daniel" by mechanical engineering junior Eto Otitigbe is one of 16 student art works on view though June 14 in the Wiesner Student Art Gallery (second floor, Stratton Student Center) as part of the Schnitzer Prize Winners' Exhibition. Mr. Otitigbe, from Albany, NY, took the top award ($1,000) in the third annual Harold and Arlene Schnitzer Prize in the Visual Arts, winning for his drawings and prints depicting people who have influenced his life. Second place ($600) went to Kevin Simmons, a senior double-majoring in philosophy and theater from Castle Rock, CO, for his cibrochrome photographs of nature. Kim Eng, an architecture junior from Sunnydale, CA, won third prize ($400) for her drawings and paintings of figures and landscapes. The awards are administered by the Student Art Association.
