(Tech Talk 4/12/2000)
Using videotape and live performance excerpts, dancer Donald Byrd and four members of his company will demonstrate and talk about his work -- a movement style that is distinctly American in its integration of black vernacular dancing with classical ballet and modern techniques -- on Friday, April 14, 2000 at 2pm in the T-Club Lounge. Since 1978, Mr. Byrd has created over 80 works and has been referred to as "the new George Balanchine." Info: 253-6957.
