MIT's Movements in Time performs off-campus on Saturday, April 28 at 5pm at the William Monroe Trotter School (135 Humboldt Ave, Dorchester). Dance styles will include jazz, Latin, ballet, hip-hop, and modern dance with guest performances by MIT's Mocha Moves, Glorious Praise Gospel Choir and Raw Material. Tickets: $7 available at the door and at The Source (first floor Stratton Student Center).
Senior Lecturer David Deveau is making his public return to the piano bench after an eight-month long recovery from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and neurological problems. He will perform the Brahms B-flat Piano Concerto on April 28-29 with the New Philharmonia Orchestra of Massachusetts at Babson College in Wellesley. On Friday, May 4, Mr. Deveau will present a recital with clarinetist Richard Stoltzman as a benefit for the Rockport Chamber Music Festival, of which he is artistic director. The concert will take place at Annisquam Village Church (820 Washington St., Gloucester).
