ArtsNet

ArtsNet is a communication network made up of nearly 90 student, staff, and faculty representatives from arts-related programs, departments, groups, clubs and offices at MIT. The network is maintained by the Arts Communication branch of the Office of the Arts (OA), which gathers information on the hundreds of arts events and exhibitions presented each year at MIT. Arts Communication publishes this information in various print and web-based event calendars, and offer additional publicity assistance. Thanks to the members of ArtsNet, we are able to be a central source for information on MIT arts events in what is a very decentralized campus. In turn, the work of Arts Communication helps ArtsNet members raise awareness of their programs and events, and inform and attract potential audiences.

Most of the OA's communication with ArtsNet is done by e-mail; members may make use of the ArtsNet e-mail address connection to communicate appropriate announcements or queries to the network.

artsnet@media.mit.edu is a private, moderated e-mail list for exclusive use by MIT's arts publicists, organizers, contacts and presenters for MIT performance/exhibition programs, departments, clubs, offices, etc. This is a closed list, which means the administrator decides subscription eligibility.

The list administrator is Lynn Heinemann (heine@media.mit.edu).
