Mailing Lists
The Office of the Arts oversees the following mailing lists and listservs that offer information on upcoming events at MIT and other MIT arts-related announcements, deadlines and opportunities.
Available to the public, including the MIT community:
Arts @ MIT Calendar
To receive a free copy, via snail mail, of MIT's printed (8-1/2 x 14") monthly calendar of events,
send a request (with mailing address) to heine@media.mit.edu.
Copies are also available at campus newsstands starting the Wednesday nearest the first of the month,
except during MIT's Independent Activities Period (IAP) in January and during the summer months. Members
of the MIT community are encouraged to obtain their calendars at one of the numerous distribution points
on campus.
Arts-announce listserv
Receive general announcements related to the arts at MIT, including selected event listings, special announcements, audition announcements, and ticket offers. Subscribers may send announcements to this list. Subscribe to Arts-announce by e-mailing arts-announce-request@media.mit.edu with "Subscribe" as the subject.
OA-Announce listserv
Receive announcements of events and deadlines for programs sponsored by the MIT Office of the Arts (OA), including visiting artist events, Grants Program deadlines (Council for the Arts), and announcements and deadlines related to OA Student Programs. Subscribers will receive, but may not send, announcements to this list. Subscribe to OA-Announce by e-mailing oa-announce-request@media.mit.edu with "Subscribe" as the subject.

Artsnet listserv
A private, moderated list used by Arts Communication in the Office of the Arts (OA) to communicate information about OA publications and deadlines. Artsnet members include publicists, event organizers and information contacts from throughout the MIT arts community. Members may also use the list to communicate information to the group. This is a closed list, which means the administrator decides subscription eligibility. For more information, click here or contact Lynn Heinemann at 617/253-5351 or heine@media.mit.edu.
Press Mailing Lists
Arts Communication maintains press lists that are coded in various arts categories (music, theater, dance, visual arts, etc). MIT students, faculty and staff may request to use these lists to publicize their MIT arts-related events and activities.
