Concert Competition winner Jennifer Lai '11 performs with MIT Symphony Orchestra

Cambridge, MA... Concerto Competition winner Jennifer Lai, a freshman at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will be the solo pianist in a performance of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with the MIT Symphony Orchestra (MITSO) on Friday, May 9, at 8 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium, 48 Massachusetts Ave.

Music Director Adam Boyles will also conduct MITSO in performances of Mozart's Overture to The Magic Flute, and Ravel's Pavane.

In addition, guest ensemble the MIT Concert Choir, directed by William Cutter, will perform Brahms' Naenie and Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs (Sumner Thompson, baritone).

Kresge Auditorium is handicapped accessible and is located opposite 77 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, MA. This event is open to the public, and admission is $5 at the door.
