Dance
From ballet to modern, funk to folk, hip hop to square dancing, MIT's dance troupes, groups and
organizations perform and instruct in a wide range of dance styles. Students and community
members alike enjoy professional performances, student-choreographed works, and weekly classes.
The Music and Theater Arts Minor in Physical Imagination (Dance) explores the creative possibilities
for movement in theatrical contexts. The six-subject minor intends to give students exposure to three areas
of creative investigation: movement composition; movement theory, history, and literature; and performance. For more information,
see the Theater Arts and Dance web site.
